When you donate your used car, boat, motorcycle or RV to the American Lung Association, you're helping to fight lung disease and promote clean air right here in Southern Arizona!

We manage our own Vehicle Donation Program -- without a middleman -- so all proceeds from your donated vehicle will go to educational and support programs in your community! Other reasons to donate to the American Lung Association:

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get my title notarized?
We have a licensed Notary right here at our office, which is open between 8:30 and 4:30 Monday through Friday (please call ahead of time at 323-1812 just as a precaution).

Are donated vehicles towed for free?
YES! All vehicles are towed at no charge to the donor.

How long does the process take?
Upon receiving your title in our office, you will be contacted by a towing service within 1-3 business days to schedule a pickup time.

What types of vehicles are accepted?
Automobiles, pickup trucks, recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, motorcycles and vans in almost any condition can all be accepted. If it has a title, we're interested! Please call us at (520) 323-1812 to find out more.

How is the tax deduction determined?
The IRS will usually allow you to claim the gross proceeds from the American Lung Association's sale of your vehicle.

We work with a local auction house in Tucson to ensure we get the highest possible price for each vehicle. Some factors which may affect the sale price include vehicle condition, age, and mileage.

The American Lung Association will mail you a donor acknowledgement letter upon receipt of your vehicle, which may be used for tax purposes; if your vehicle sells for more than $500 we will mail you an additional tax form stating the gross proceeds within 30 days of sale.
